Inspiration out of perspiration

 I was flying through TikTok to start my day and this Pablo Picasso quote stopped me in my tracks.

For me, this sentiment rings so true. My best creative work finds me when I am at my busiest. I often stumble upon my best ideas when I have three or four paintings in various stages of completion. 

Here is another quote that hits home.

Rick Rubin has a book out right now, that if you are a creative soul, you might want to read.

The Creative Act: A Way of Being explores creativity, innovation and inspiration in a new and accessible way. 

This is a Rubinism that is a little harder for me. l sometimes fall victim to the inclination to need outside affirmation of what is good and what is not. I'm striving to be more trusting of my own likes and dislikes in my work.
