Traveller about to return
Heather returns from Italy tomorrow. She is enjoying her final day in Rome after completing a 400 km leg of Via Francigena, an ancient road and pilgrimage route running from the cathedral city of Canterbury in England, through France and Switzerland, to Rome and then to Apulia, Italy, where there were ports of embarkation for the Holy Land. Her and Michelle, her walking partner from the UK, did the Lucca to Rome portion.
I have been on my own, living with Heather's brother's family in northwest Calgary for a full month, doing a lot of painting. In that stretch I did three major live painting events and completed 16 works. I also enjoyed contributing to family life by preparing multiple meals throughout the week.
Nearing the end of the week, we are still waiting on approval of something called our DSSP (Deep Services Site Plan), essentially the engineered drawings and plans to tie into municipal water and sewer at our High River lot. Once that approval comes, the approval of the DP (Development Permit) should follow. In other words, we are still in a holding pattern until we jump over those regulatory hurdles.
Meanwhile, the SEED Homes team is using the calm before installation to host another open house. If you've been following our journey and have been intrigued by the concept of a SEED Home, don't hesitate to reach out to SEED Homes to make an appointment to see the house today in person. They have stepped it up a notch and have staged two bedrooms and a living area on the west side of the home.
