Next Phase
We drove from Crowsnest Pass to Okotoks yesterday, dropped the dogs off with the sitters, and watered the plants being graciously hosted by the new owners of our Elma Street home while our High River property gets built. Then we went down to High River and checked into our guest suite in a condo complex - an absolutely perfect set up for us, as a very low cost.
A scrumptious dinner at Mr. Mikes, a nice visit with Jeff (our waiter) and we were set for our very first night in High River and the official start of our next phase in this long moving process.
I started weeding our lot yesterday, while Heather put several coats of paint on our Little Library that we are going to put at the front of our property. We LOVED having a Little Library in front of our Okotoks home. It feels right to continue that tradition in High River. Heather and her dad made great progress on building it while we were in Crowsnest Pass.We will be filling our time getting the lot ready for the our house and studio. It feels GREAT putting in some sweat equity. It will be several trips to the landfill to get rid of all the weeds we will pull in the next few days.It was great to meet our new neighbours, Zack and Sam and several of their children. I sensed that they are as excited as we are to see the property develop.
