And the walls go up

 

It was a big day at the SEED Homes manufacturing facility in south Calgary. The exterior walls, 40 feet long, were lifted into place yesterday. 

Stephen Morgan, CEO of SEED Homes did a video call with us as this was happening. His excitement was palpable.

The view you see above is from the south, or from the future vantage point of 4th Avenue SE in High River. There is a plastic film on the metal exterior to protect it during transport. 

We head back to the Calgary area in one week. In that time, final inspections will have happened, walls will be insulated and Trusscore walls will go up throughout the house. There is a good chance flooring, tiles and bathroom fixtures might be in by that point. 

After a tough few days with bad news, we needed a win. This gave us one.
