Birdsong moving auction
Prior to leaving Fort McMurray in 2019, we held an online auction to help clear out the studio in preparation for the moving. It was a great success and by the time we left the community, every single painting and print had found a home. We are in the process of doing something similar right now.
The Birdsong Moving online silent auction started earlier this week and will run until May 7 at 9 pm MST. Based on the number of bids we have received so far, I have no doubt that this will be the biggest auction we've ever done. That will benefit an amazing charity called Baby It's Cold Outside, as five dollar from each item purchased will be donated to support their efforts helping families and individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty.
One extra special item is something called THE WOLF CHAIR. This is a custom painted Muskoka chair that I painted for Inclusion Foothills last year for their Chair Raffle. The winner of The Wolf Chair was Glenn from Fort McMurray. He has kindly donated it back to support this auction and Baby It's Cold Outside. The question that begs asking is where are we going? All I can say is that we have a plan and are seeing if we can make it work. Once we are past the exploratory phase and can say for certain that it can go ahead we'll be excited to share the details. If it all works out, we'll be staying in the area and will continue to serve our art and Ideal Protein clients.
