If there was ever a perfect day to visit Birdsong Studios, Saturday is it. You may wonder why studio is plural. Well, we have the art studio out in the garage and we have the Ideal Protein studio in the house. Both will be open for visitors as part of our annual OPEN HOUSE and ART ON THE LINE event on historic Elma Street, running from 10 am to 4 pm.
There will be about 20 artist vendors in three clusters along Elma Street located around Lineham House Galleries, Birdsong Studios and 94 Take the Cake. You'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of art works and meet the creators.
We decided to try something a little different as part of our contribution. We are hosting a free backyard concert starting at about noon featuring country music singer Ryan Langlois. We met Ryan a few years ago when he stayed with us during a writing retreat. He is a fantastic singer/songwriter and storyteller. And our backyard is a great spot to enjoy good music.
It's always nice to add a little incentive to the OPEN HOUSE experience. This year we will be doing a draw out in the studio for a $500 shopping credit to buy art. Everyone who visits will be able to fill out an entry form.
After getting some rain over the last few days, Heather's garden will be in full bloom and our property will be in amazing shape to welcome visitors. Please join us!
