Ola Mexico
Tomorrow, we set forth for Casa Mah, our home away from home in Playa del Carmen on Caribbean side of Mexico. Today it's a lot of preparation, packing and processing all the things we need to bring to take us through the next seven days.
Casa Mah is a beautiful condo just a five minute walk from the beach in the heart of the city. For us, it is the perfect situation, complete with all the comforts of home and wireless internet access so I can continue writing my Middle Age Bulge blog. The suite looks out over a swimming pool, which will excite the boys to no end. They love to swim.
But, despite all the pictures, I don't really know what to expect. What's it going to feel like being right along the ocean? Will the place be overrun with tourists or will it be a nice mix of locals and foreigners? Will anyone understand English?
I guess the joy of traveling is found in the things that are unknown, the undiscovered country. The other joy in going to far off places is the trip itself. Ours will start shortly after lunch tomorrow.
